WHAT DO I SAY TODAY?

What do I say today I said,

i didn't sleep well, i woke up instead.

I stayed awake until it was light

then tried to sleep, to say goodnight.

I woke up at ten and closed my eyes

the light was too bright from the morning skies.

I made coffee and and tried to wake up

I drank cup after cup after cup after cup I turned on the tube and sat down on the couch my brain was jammed, i was becoming a grouch.

Im tired of congress and the fiscal cliff I'm hoping the new year plays a different riff.

I listened to the news and the commentary too It was all about guns and and what we should do to keep people from murdering me or you.

The only way we'll stop the killing

is to stop the shooter but we have to be willing to use deadly force, to stop them in their tracks to put down the gunman before he attacks.

Its not the laws that will keep us from dying its not the statutes that will keep us from crying for those we love and for whom we care we have to be wise and to be aware That guns don't kill, but people do Words of wisdom for me and for you.
