FLY YOU TO THE MOON

Richard Branson, the guy whom runs Virgin Airlines, wants to fly you to the moon.

Not tomorrow, but sometime soon. Branson wants to start a "space line". An airline for outer space. You'd pay a small fortune and in return Branson's rockets would boost you to the moon.

I think it's safe to say that I'll never have the kind of Monopoly money to pay for a flight to the moon. But I wonder if a multi-billionaire would do it? If you have billions you can afford Branson's offer. The price for a flight to the moon might be a billion and a half. Certainly not even enough to put a dent your retirement fund.

Initially Branson says he'd offer sub orbital flights, work his way up to completely orbiting the earth, and then shoot for the moon.

Branson is a billionaire himself. Unless he gets sick going around the planet in zero gravity he’ll probably make the run himself.

If I had the money would I go?

No. I'm not interested in going to the moon or Mars. If a flying saucer came by and offered me a ride I might take them up on it. Their technology would be far more advanced than ours. It wouldn't take forever to get to Mars. I'm guessing maybe fifteen minutes by flying saucer and a year if I fly NASA. Besides, I need advanced technology. I get motion sickness.

Branson will be remembered in space history as one of the first entrepreneurs to invest in space travel. He knows that finding another place to live will be necessary to preserve our species. Eventually this planet will run out of food, water, and gas and be sucked into the sun. We have to be out of here and colonizing long before that happens.

The price of Branson's billion dollar moon flight is all inclusive. You get custom fitted capsules to recline and relax in during takeoff. Once you're in zero gravity you're free to move about the cabin and socialize. All meals and drinks are included and of course your accommodations. Once on the moon you can jump and bounce around just like Neil Armstrong did the first time he landed on the moon. You'll stay there a couple of days and then it'll be time to go back. A short vacation I know but other than playing around in moon dust for hours there’s not much else to do.

You'll see the earth from the moon and that alone will be stunning, especially if you've altered your consciousness which I suspect someday will be part of the package as well.
