Marathon Ready To Step Off In Boston This Morning

The 128th running of the Boston Marathon is today, with a full field and favorable weather conditions expected.

There will be no shortage of big names along the route, including former Bruins captain Zdeno Chara, who is running for the second time.

Also committed to this year's event is Henry Richard, whose younger brother died in the 2013 marathon bombing, along with other survivors of the attack.

The marathon begins at around ten a.m. in Hopkinton and heads through Ashland, Framingham, Natick, Wellesley, Newton and Brookline before entering Boston.

The Marathon is getting the same security level as a Super Bowl does. FBI Officials are asking people to be alert for anything questionable - but they do say there are no credible threats.
