FBI Continues Probe Into Detention Center Data Breach

Last fall's data breach at the Wyatt Detention Facility appears more widespread than previously indicated.

A virus infected the Central Falls facility's computer system last November 2nd and was believed to have compromised the information of about two thousand detainees, staff, and vendors.

On Tuesday, officials said that approximately 95 hundred individuals and businesses had their personal, financial, and medical information exposed.

The FBI is still investigating, and all those impacted are being offered free identity theft monitoring services for five years.

No arrests have been made.
